Home-Science Lab

The department has well equipped laboratory for the study of  food and nutrition, cooking, salad making, clothing and textiles, home management, interior decoration, tie and dye, flower arrangements, and floor decorations (Rangoli & Alpana).

The lab also has all necessary kitchen commodities like a refrigerator. hot plates, oven, microwave, and other latest requirements of the cooking range.

The lab has working tables for performing and conducting home science tasks and practicals under the supervision of concerned teachers.

Laboratories

Doon Ghati College provides modern and sophisticated teaching facilities that are constantly upgraded. Each department at the institute boasts of an array of highly advanced laboratories that are sufficiently equipped with the latest instruments and apparatus which help them in exploring their subjects at a greater depth. The labs have a network of computers under the Client Server Architecture, which work jointly under the Windows environment. All computing machines have connected peripherals like printers, scanners etc. The aim is to provide students a conceptual as well as practical understanding of the subject through hands-on training.

The knowledge and skills of our students can improve by multiple folds, and they can use these resources to complete their academic projects without any issues.

Library

Modern Library services providing resources and information services to support students learning and research. The Library is fully automated indigenously to support the students for choice of books, which is a rich collection of books periodicals, National & International Journals, technology, software design and development.

The emphasis is on having quality books, which serve as references to faculty and students alike.

Separate calm and pleasant reading facility is available with seating of 200 students at a time. It is fully computerized and supported by software package

Transport Facility

The College provides transport facility for students and staff members through its self owned buses. The buses ply on different routes of the city to pick and drop the students from various areas.

The students are spared the difficulty of commuting to the College by public transport. This also contributes to inculcating an element of punctuality among the students.

There are separate buses plying for the staff. College owns fleet of 15 buses equipped with safety features fire extinguishers, First-aid Box. Opting for College Bus transport will enable safe transport and convenience.

There is ample parking space for students and faculty members of the college.

Spacious Lecture Halls

Lecture Halls in Doon Ghati College are properly ventilated and ergonomically designed to ensure that each student has sufficient space. Lecture halls have a pitched floor so that those in the rear are seated higher than those at the front, allowing them to see the lecturer.

Well-furnished air-conditioned spacious lecture halls equipped with latest specialized teaching aids such as Projectors, LCDs,  sound systems & CCTV cameras to ensure, safety, security & surveillance.

The latest audio-visual aids and multimedia technology enables the faculty members to have interactive sessions of teaching, which adds confidence and enthusiasm among our students.
